I recently started taking a pottery class and I found that my favorite project is making tiles. I made this tile using a rubber stamp from http://www.earthartinternational.com/
After enjoying the blogs of many stampers and scrapbookers, I decided to try this myself. It is going to take some time before my blog is exactly the way I want it because this is all new to me. Since we are quickly approaching the new year, it is a great time for new beginnings. Happy New Year to all!
I have been a teacher since 1978. I currently teach first grade in the city of Detroit. I am married to my best friend and we are dog parents to beautiful Golden Retrievers. I love color and texture and all of my hobbies include both elements. As a result of my love for papercrafts, I became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator in 2004. My teddy bear collection is just one of my favorite things. I recently got a tattoo on my lower back with a celestial theme and a pawprint for each of our dogs that we have loved and lost.
I have been fascinated with this art form since I met Jimmy. It took several years to find an artist that I was comfortable with and I am very pleased with the results. The details are amazing! If you look closely, you can see the numbers 3, 6, 9, and 12 around the sun and the moon to represent the passage of time. It was well worth the wait! Jay Wheeler is the artist.
